1921 Guy Laroche was born in “La Rochelle”, France.

1949 Guy Laroche works for Jean Desses and becomes the assistant of this couturier.

1955 Guy Laroche stays in the United States to study new ready-to-wear manufacturing methods.

1957 Guy Laroche opens his own Fashion House.

1961 Guy Laroche launches his first ready-to-wear collection and opens his first boutique in Paris.

1966 Guy Laroche launches the famous FIDJI perfume and his first GUY LAROCHE MONSIEUR boutique. 1980 Launch of “Guy Laroche Timepieces” with a worldwide licensee in early the 80’s.

1985 Guy Laroche is awarded his first Haute-Couture GOLDEN THIMBLE for his 1985 Fall-Winter Collection.

1989 In January, Guy Laroche is awarded his second Haute-Couture GOLDEN THIMBLE for his 1989 Spring-Summer Collection. In February, Mr Laroche passes away.

2007 Marcel Marongiu is appointed Artistic Director of the Fashion House. He succeeds designers such as Angelo Tarlazzi, Michel Klein or Alber Elbaz.

Nowadays, the Guy Laroche brand has extended from the high fashion field to various fashion industries, including perfume, jewelry, timepieces, shoes, leather goods, and so on.
